« Employed by the composers over the last century to deliver a message of liberty of expression of the performer, the Italian term a piacere reflects the state of mind in which the quartet of saxophones A Piacere evolves. Expressing its sensitivity, it has seduced composers with its instrumental virtuosity and the variety of its palette of sounds.

Dedicatee of many works, the quartet A Piacere works closely with composers such as François Jeanneau, Martial Solal, Steve Lacy, and Francis Baguerre (...). The musical editions Robert Martin took the opportunity to open a collection A Piacere led by J. P. Caens to broaden the scope of the repertoire for saxophones. Along with this, it performed in many festivals and cultural centers over the French territory and abroad, and is at the origin of various recordings and radiographic works.

The quartet A Piacere stands at the meeting of cultures in order to share its interest in art and popular music, the so-called "light" music but also contemporary music. Through transcription works, it helps to create a kind of revival of great works of the past, as well as playing the major works of the twentieth century. »
